Working Tests take place in the Spring and Summer.  They are designed to test the ability of gundogs in the same way as Field Trials but, as they do not take place during the shooting season, canvas dummies and blank shot are used in place of game and live shot.

If you are new to the gundog world and potentially interested in competing in the future, helping at Working Tests is an invaluable way to learn.  You will get to watch the dogs and handlers competing during the Working Test and there are lots of varied roles - you don't need to be able to throw a dummy!  We promise that you will be looked after and well fed and watered throughout the day. All clubs require helpers and Working Tests cannot be run without them so do please consider coming to help.  It would be enormously appreciated.
