The Guildford Working Gundog Club held its final trial of the season, a novice, on December 31st.  The trial was held by kind permission of the Tyrwhitt-Drake family on the beautiful Bereleigh Estate near Petersfield.  We were wonderfully looked after by headkeeper Nick Canter and his team of guns who shot exceptionally well.  A big thank you to them. Our judges were John Stubbs, Pete Castleman, Jason Mayhew and Tom Sage.  They kept the trial flowing smoothly and there was some very nice dog work for everyone to watch.  Another big thank you to them. I would like to give another big thank you to all of my wonderful helpers who gave up their time to come along.  You were all superb.  We enjoyed ourselves and had a nice start to our New Year’s celebrations.  Special thanks to Lisa Murrell for her wonderful catering and to the stewards Lauren Wright, Jane Best and Anna Mayhew.
